Once protected, there is the future possibility of conserving adjacent properties that connect to DuPont State Forest. When combined, the protected lands would conserve a swath of forest habitat connecting properties from Rich Mountain to Jones Gap State Park and other public land in upstate South Carolina. |

To the south of Rich Mountain is Camp High Rocks. The camp encompasses roughly 1,100 acres, mostly undeveloped. To the west of Rich Mountain is the Steel Creek development. House sites are on large lots of 3 to 10 acres. |
